Within slide: replicated spots. Of limited value as replicates, but very useful for QC.
Between slides
Technical and Biological replicates: various kinds of each.
The differences are in the extent to which the replicates
are independent. There are many aspects of the process
that contribute to common cause dependence. We seek
to minimize the number of these our replicates share.
