Preclinical studies of EGF receptor inhibitor AG1478

AG1478 is a small molecule inhibitor of EGF receptor signalling and so may have use as a therapeutic agent against cancers in which the EGF receptor is overexpressed. We are conducting pre-clinical studies of this compound such as developing bioassays for the determination of the inhibitor's concentration and those of its metabolites in animal models and patients, developing a suitable formulation for administering AG1478 and determining its pharamacokinetics in animal models.
