Epithelial Biochemistry LaboratoryTumour suppressor PTEN and oncogene RasWe are interested in the interplay between the most frequently mutated oncogene Ras and the tumour suppressor PTEN during tumour transformation. Activated Ras inhibits PTEN expression and restoration of PTEN suppresses Ras induced tumour formation. We are identifying pathways regulating PTEN expression and its tumour suppression activities.
